The Golden age of concert posters has to be considered the late 60’s to early 70’s era. Great artists like Rick Griffin, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelly, Victor Moscoso, David Singer, Randy Tuten, Wes Wilson and Bob Masse defined the genre. These posters were a strikingly new, almost electric style of
advertising. The posters reflected and spoke to their audience. The intentionally near un-readble type and psychedelic imagery were a rejection of the status quo, those posters spoke directly to their audience in way that squares would never understand.
